Sikkim
Picture this: A sparkling, clean lake amidst the
dense greeneries yet not a leaf is floating on it. And
even if a leaf chances to drop, a little bird comes
flying as if from nowhere and swoops to pick it up
and
so the legend goes on.
Such a lake is there, in this mortal world, in the
land of Sikkim. Such is the grandeur of the mystic land,
Sikkim. Small but enchanting, Sikkim is situated in
the Eastern Himalayas. Spread below Mt. Khanchendzonga
the third highest peak in the world, Sikkim shares her
borders with Tibet in the north, Bhutan in the east,
Nepal in the west and West Bengal in the south.
Wander through the green valleys, cascading rivers
or densely forested ridges. You can lose yourself amidst
the riot of colourful exotic orchids and the fluttering
butterflies, romantic solitude of the snowy peaks or
the brisk brooks. Or just roam around with the musk
deers and play around with the peeping red pandas.
The spectacular landscape is complimented by the tranquility
of the somber monastic life and the pageantry pomp of
the culture and festivities of the Sikkimese. The warm,
simple and friendly Sikkimese folk will welcome with
'Chaang'- a drink prepared from fermented millet.
With Changshe Norbu Tours and Treks as your companion,
your odyssey to Sikkim will indeed be a rare and singular
experience to cherish throughout your life.
